In response to the change in path for Hurricane Irma, The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management officials have ordered MANDATORY evacuations of the persons in the following areas:
LOW LYING FLOOD AREAS
MOBILE /MODULAR HOMES
Please note that once wind speeds reach 35 miles per hour, no Emergency Vehicles will be on the road.
Please report to a shelter as soon as you can.
Somerset/Jefferson High School at 50 David Road is open.
For other shelter locations, call the Emergency Management Office at 850-342-0211.
Before you leave:
- Lock all doors and windows and put on shutters if necessary.
- Turn off all appliances, faucets, and LP gas tanks.
- Bring a 3 day supply of personal hygiene, water and food items to the shelter.
